Controlled-beta operational rules

Legal review required before public launch

What Cookeville HomeLine coordinates—and what it does not.

These rules describe how the controlled beta is designed to operate; they are not final, counsel-approved launch terms. Public messaging and paid access must remain disabled until counsel reviews provider independence, consumer disclosures, payments, messaging, disputes, and Tennessee-specific requirements.

Coordination service

HomeLine helps organize homeowner requests, contact a limited number of eligible local providers after authorization, collect replies, and support scheduling. It is not the contractor performing the work and does not guarantee that a provider will respond, accept a project, or complete it.

No emergency dispatch or diagnosis

HomeLine is not an emergency service. If a situation may involve fire, gas, carbon monoxide, power lines, structural collapse, or another immediate danger, leave the area when appropriate and contact emergency services or the relevant utility. Automated observations are not a definitive diagnosis or safety certification.

Provider relationship and pricing

Providers are independent businesses. Preliminary ranges, service-call fees, and availability are provider statements, not HomeLine guarantees. Selecting a provider does not create a contract through the AI. The homeowner and provider must agree to final scope, price, credentials, and terms directly.

Authorization and address sharing

HomeLine contacts providers only after explicit project authorization. Exact address and homeowner contact details require separate, provider-specific disclosure approval. Authorization can be paused or cancelled subject to messages already sent.

Homeowner SMS program

By texting Cookeville HomeLine, a homeowner requests automated operational messages about home-project intake, approvals, provider responses, scheduling, and completion. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Reply START to request resubscription where supported, or contact support if messages do not resume. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Payments and beta access

A market may waive the coordination fee during beta. When payments are enabled, HomeLine relies on signed payment-provider webhooks rather than browser redirects. Refund eligibility and timing must be stated in the final approved terms before paid public access begins.
